Museums at night

A cultural highlight that has become a firm institution for Frankfurt’s cultural scene

More than 50 museums and art galleries in Frankfurt and Offenbach show, at a most unusual time, what treasures they hold. From 7 p.m. until 2 a.m. everyone can embark on a cultural tour and indulge in music, readings, performances, theatre, workshops, video installations and parties. Special guided tours are offered of exhibitions currently underway, and there are plenty of opportunities to eat. With their location closely adjacent to each other at the Main river, Frankfurt's museums are perfectly suited for such a night-time cultural treat. And even more remote venues are easy to reach, for there is a free shuttle bus linking all institutions taking part.

Tickets for the “Nacht der Museen” can be obtained from those institutions taking part, the city’s information offices, Tourismus+Congress GmbH and well-known booking offices. For holders of a Museumsufer-Card the entry is free of charge. The next “Nacht der Museen” will take place on April 21, 2012. For further information, please visit:
